WALLACE BAY CEMETERIES

Through donations and volunteers the Wallace Bay Cemeteries Association maintain the Wallace Bay Cemetery and the Pioneer Cemetery.

The Pioneer Cemetery is located at 12162 NS-6, Wallace Bay, Nova Scotia.

The Pioneer Cemetery is the final resting place of early Wallace Bay families: Akerley, Angevine, Black, Brown, Colter, Forshner, Fountain, Horton, King, Lynds, McInnis, McKim, Peers, Tuttle.

The Wallace Bay Cemetery was founded in 1852 on the site of the former Wallace Bay Church. The church served a Methodist Congregation until 1925 when it became the United Church of Canada until 1979. Lots are still for sale at the Wallace Bay Cemetery.
